  • Hacienda featured on The Love Drive!

My colleague and amazing friend Lila, of horizontal with Lila, recently was a guest on The Love Drive Show to talk about intentional communities, sex parties, and non-monogamy — and she gave a shout out to my work too! Sex parties and the sex positive community can be somewhat intimidating when you first decide to immerse yourself in it. But as Lila explains, a lot of it is about finding the place and the people that feel good and safe for you, and also learning to be intentional and open. Lila also talks about navigating nonmonogamy and sexual desires in

  • My Sex Life is Spread All Over the NY Post!

There’s nothing like waking up on a Sunday morning to see your sex life spread in a print newspaper! So I dropped everything (pants included) to share this exciting piece from the NY Post about Hacienda! As you probably know, Hacienda Villa is the sex-positive intentional community that I co-founded and live in. It was fantastic to do this feature with the NY Post that allowed us to be ourselves! I’ve been open about my lifestyle with all of you on here, but it’s not every day that I get to share a hugely important part of my life: sex-positive

  • Fighting for Sexual Freedom 2017

What a week Dr. Zhana and I had participating at Naughty in Nawlins with over 2,000 attendees! Looking back on one of our favorite events of the week, the Sexual Freedom March, we were reminded of the progress made for LGBTQIA rights. 10 years ago, we couldn’t imagine one of the most powerful corporations in the world, like Apple, having an openly gay CEO. While it’s not a perfect analogy, we’re excited to see polyamorous and kinky communities striving for some of the same rights that LGBTQIA communities worked so hard to achieve. Diana Adams Law is an organization we admire that is

  • What is it Like to Build a Sex+ House?

Narrative.ly recently did a feature on Hacienda Villa, the sex-positive intentional community that I co-founded with Andrew Sparksfire. The piece really got me thinking about my personal path to becoming involved with the Villa, which I don’t think I’ve shared on my blog before. What started out as a passion project, helping my friend Andrew Sparksfire build this community for throwing sex parties, grew to creating a culture worth spreading. The article tells Andrew’s journey into building the Villa. For me, this journey started at one of the lowest points of my career. My startup, Fit ID, had just failed.

  • Polyamory and Millennials

I was quoted recently in a piece for AvvoStories on millennials and polyamory. Personally, I’m just on the cusp of what most people would consider a “millennial.” I don’t think that has contributed to my interest in polyamory, but I do think that the ability to spread things to a larger audience has contributed to more people being interested in it. Obviously, polyamory has been around for longer than the millennial generation, but the internet and social media have allowed it to get more attention recently. If you’re curious about exploring polyamory, check out my business partner Dr. Zhana‘s new
